Greetings from Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).

It is my great pleasure to inform you that the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) in coordination with Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is organizing Mt. Everest Platinum Jubilee Celebration on 29 May 2023 to mark the completion of 70 years of the first ascent of Mt. Everest. As part of the program, MoCTCA has also decided to organize Summiteer’s Summit 2023 in which Everest climbers all around the globe will be invited to join the program.

Invitation:

On behalf of NMA and the main organizing committee, I would like to extend my invitation to you for your gracious presence in all the programs of Mt. Everest Platinum Jubilee Celebration and Summiteers’ Summit in Kathmandu and Namche bazaar. The major program of this celebration will be the felicitation of Everest summiteers by the chief guest, Honorary President or Prime Minister of Nepal. 

NMA’s request to the UAAA.

1)     Kindly inform all the members of UAAA about the proposed program and request for their active participation of Everest summiteers.

2)     Kindly post on social media of UAAA about the program.

Publication of Nepal Parbat:

The regular publication of NMA called Nepal Parbat is on schedule on the occasion of Mt. Everest Platinum Jubilee Celebration. It will have the articles, historic facts of the ascent of Everest, memoirs of the family of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa etc.
